Vegetables

Brinley started eating vegetables on Saturday, 11/20.  I was so excited to start her on food! We started out with green beans. I think her face explains how she felt about them....

So she only ate a couple bites, then was done.  The next 2 nights I tried them again and it went a little better, but she still does not like them.

Next we tried sweet potatoes.  She seemed to like these for a few bites, but then was over it.

Brinley doesn't seem like she's going to be a big vegetable eater, but hopefully that will change. We still have alot of different ones to try.

Brinley is Sitting!!!!

Brinley can sit up very well! She sat up in her 5 month monkey picture, then she started sitting anywhere we would put her! She can sit and balance for a few minutes at a time, especially if there are toys within her reach.

It's getting cold out!

Brrrr.....it's starting to get cold out!  At least Brinley has some warm clothes and doesn't mind wearing them!

5 Months

Brinley turned 5 months on November 14th! It is going so quickly.

When I was trying to take this picture, Brinley was leaned back against the sofa how she usually is for pictures.  Then she pulled herself forward until she was sitting up!....

 

Playing with Brinley

Meredith and Kevin were visiting before they moved to Georgia. We went to dinner with them one night and went over to visit them another day.  They enjoyed seeing and playing with Brinley!

Then Grandma decided to take pictures of all of us.  Brinley was looking right at the camera for the first one she took....

But we realized she cut Daddy out of it! :)

So we took another one.....

But Brinley wasn't looking.  So we tried one more.....

Then Mommy had to get a picture with her sweet baby girl....

We hope Meredith and Kevin have fun in Georgia and hope to see them soon!

Watching Daddy

These pictures are from a little while back, but I was looking through the camera and thought they were cute!
I was talking to Johnny one night and he was holding Brinley and she just looked up at him and watched him for so long, so I ran and got the camera.....

       She loves her Daddy!

Cereal

I wanted to wait until Brinley was 5 months old to start cereal.  But she was fussy most of the weekend a week before she turned 5 months and wouldn't sleep well, which is very unlike her.  So Sunday evening, November 7th, Johnny and I decided to try it. It took quite a while, but she ate it with no problems. 
The first night, Sunday, I would give her a bite and she would have it in her mouth for a few seconds, then swallow a little and ALOT would come out and run down her chin!

The second night she was excited to eat! Daddy fed her. She kept about 1/2 of it in with each bite.....

The third night, she had mastered eating!  It went really well and she enjoys her cereal.  She ate it and kept all of it in.  Much less of a mess!  If we didn't feed her quick enough, she would reach for the bowl or the spoon and try to get it to her mouth.

And when we finished, she fussed, wanting more!  But then I gave her the rest of her bottle and she was fine!

Jumping

I got a jumper that you hang in the doorway from the Beeson's a couple weeks ago.

 Brinley has enjoyed it and is getting good at jumping and being able to turn in it and look around.

It's Fall...

November arrived and it got chilly.
We had to pull out some warm clothes for Brinley....

Brinley's first Halloween

I've gotten behind on this recently, but am going to catch up and keep up!  :)

For Halloween, we went to Frisco to go trick or treating with Brinley's cousins.
Before we left, Brinley was trying to figure out what Mommy and Daddy put her in....

We first stopped by Nana and Papa's to trick or treat.....

Then we went to Frisco.  Here are some pictures of all the kids before we started....
