Back to Work

Time has flown by! Everyone kept warning me this would happen, but it's still crazy how quick it went by!
Today Brinley is 10 weeks old and I have to start back to work.  I am going to be working 1/2 days for a couple weeks before I start back full time.  I think this will help both of us!  My mom will be keeping Brinley for us and has a few other kids she keeps, so Brinley will have some friends to play with!

She did good and I was really busy at work, so the time went by quickly.

Shots, Height, Weight....Brinley is 2 Months!

Brinley turned 2 months old last Saturday, August 14th....

We had her 2 month old dr appt on Wed, 8/18.  She had to get 4 shots.  Yuck! We did not like those.  :(

Our sweet baby girl is now....
Weight:  12lbs, 11.5 oz  90 percentile
Height:  24 1/2 inches  100 percentile
Head:  40.2 cm  75 percentile

They said she is off the charts in height! She is going to be tall. Daddy loves this and is already talking about what sports she will play.  :)
She is now drinking 4 oz of formula every 3 1/2 hours and gaining weight!  The dr was very happy with how Brinley is doing.

Her dr also said she needed to move to her crib.  She has been sleeping in a bassinet next to our bed.  So Wednesday night we put her in her crib and she did so good!  We still wake up 1 time during the night for a bottle, but hope in the next month or so to cut this out.  Thursday morning I went in to get Brinley up and it took quite a few minutes of stretching for her to decide to fully wake up and want to get up.

Newborn Pictures

We took Brinley to get her newborn pictures when she was 12 days old on June 26th.  We didn't know how she would do, but she did great and they came out so cute! We even got a couple family pictures made, although we'll do more in a few months.

The first 2 Months!!!

2 months ago Brinley Grace was born.  
June 14, 2010 10:57am.....9 lbs, 4 oz and 20 3/4 inches.

**I'm just starting this blog to share pictures and keep our memories.  I have 2 months to catch up on, so this will be a long post, but I will try to keep up with it, so the rest of the posts won't be as long!  :)

Brinley slept alot the first few weeks.  We took tons of pictures of her! And I dressed her up in all her new clothes and bows!

Now she stays awake longer and is actually on a schedule and doing well on it.  She now will smile when you talk to her.  It is very entertaining to talk and make faces to her and watch her try to imitate you! She can give "kisses"- she opens her mouth, she will stick her tongue out- or at least try to when you tell her to and stick yours out!  She has laughed a few times as she is falling asleep and is starting to follow you with her eyes when she hears your voice and sees you move in front of her. 

This sweet precious little girl is the love of our lives!

July 10th....Brinley's first Rangers game....

 

July 14th, 2010....Brinley is 1 month old!

She loves her swing and will sit in it for long stretches of time and watch the mobile above her, she also loves her Bumbo, although we are still working on strengthening her neck so she can sit up straighter and for longer periods.  She enjoys movement and looking around.

July 12th-15th  Mindi and Dylan came to visit from Amarillo....

Already a Texas Tech fan......
