4 Month Appointment

We had Brinley's 4 Month Dr's Appointment on Oct. 13th. The Dr was very happy with Brinley's growth and the things she can now do.  She can roll from back to front, she "talks" and laughs and when she gets real excited, she lets out squeals, she recognizes voices and turns toward them, she reaches and can grab at toys.

Her 4 month measurements are....
Weight:  15 lbs, 6 oz  85 percentile
Height:  25 3/4 inches  95 percentile
Head:  42.5 cm  85 percentile

She did good with the 4 shots they gave her.
The dr also said in a few weeks to start giving her cereal, then vegetables.

Supergirl

Anyone that knows Daddy, knows he LOVES Superman.  Before we were pregnant with Brinley, we gave a couple's baby shower for Chris and Jenny, when they were about to have Camden.  One of the activities was to decorate a onesie for Camden.  Johnny is alot more creative and better at drawing and painting than I am, so he did one from us. He wanted to practice and ended up decorating 2 of them.  He chose 1 to give to them and 1 to keep for when we had a baby.....

Texas Tech game

Johnny and I went to the Texas Tech football game when they played Baylor here a couple weeks ago.  Brinley stayed with Nana and Papa, but we had to take pictures before we went....

State Fair

It's that time of year! Johnny and I have gone to the State Fair every year since we first started dating, in 1999!  We enjoy it and knew Brinley would, too.  So a couple weeks ago, we loaded up Brinley and ALL her stuff and went for the day. Brinley's Grandpa came along with us and Meredith met us there later in the day.  Brinley did so good and enjoyed seeing all the activities going on.
She joined Daddy in his favorite thing at the fair....trying out all the cars and trucks!  Daddy showed Brinley all the things to look for in a car....

Then Brinley took some pictures with Mommy....

Next Brinley checked out some cars on her own....

 She was too interested in the car to look at the camera for her picture...

 

She enjoyed all the time we spent looking at cars....

And Brinley took some pictures with Meredith....

We took a break and watched the Pirates of the Carribean show and gave Brinley her bottle....

It was a long day, but we had fun and Brinley did good.  We can't wait until next year to go back!

New Toys

Brinley moves around and is trying to do more now, so a few nights ago, we thought we'd get her out some new things to do.  So Daddy put together Brinley's jumper as she watched and made sure he was doing it right....

Once it was done, Brinley tried it out....

Then Maverick and Aspen had to see what was so interesting....

We also pulled out her play mat.  It has toys and a teether hanging that she can reach.  She chews on the teether and can now pull the middle toy and it plays music....

All this playing wore her out!

Aunt Meredith

Brinley's Aunt Meredith has been in town and we have seen her a couple times. We went over for dinner one night and then another time when Brinley's Grandpa was here to watch the Cowboys game and for dinner.

Pumpkin Patch

We have been really busy recently and I have not posted anything, although I have taken alot of pictures so have some catching up to do!
We decided to take Brinley to the Pumpkin Patch a week and a half ago Sunday. We have heard about it over the years, but have never been. Johnny's mom came over and we went to lunch then headed out to Flower Mound. Brinley was too young for the bounce houses and the activities, but we still had fun and took TONS of pictures!  She really enjoyed looking around and seeing all the activity. Brinley is noticing movement so much now and just loves to look around and see everything that is going on. Here are some of the pictures we took.....

Cousins

We went to Frisco Wednesday evening for dinner and for Chris to fix our computer.
Brinley got to see her cousins....

Olivia read to Camden and Brinley....

 

It was good to see them. And we are glad Chris was able to fix our computer so we could blog some more!

Good Luck

Last Sunday we all decided to wear our Dallas Cowboys shirts to support our team and help bring them luck.....

It helped...they won!  Daddy says Brinley is their good luck charm.  :)

Abilene

Brinley's first trip to Abilene was last weekend.
On the way we stopped in Clyde to visit Johnny's grandma, Brinley's great grandma. They "talked" and laughed and had a great time....

She was sad when we had to leave and go to Abilene. We got there in time to see Jerry for a couple minutes before he had to leave for work. 
 Brinley enjoyed visiting her grandpa....

We had a good trip and will have to go again when we get a chance.
